Ascending Hills

Written by WelchAllyn at 19:06 6/3-2021

WelchAllyn has finally put down the shackles that strangled them the past seasons. After some disappointng seasons the team has made a serious restructuring by building a hillsprint team, lead by Pepillo Balboa and aided by a new transfer from old friend Platedefend, Johnny Galagan.

The cobble team meanwhile had to reduce Donald 'Donny' Ruiter's role in the team because of many injuries and lack of motivation to score and is now helmed by own trainees of the name Fylkir Sólbjartursson and Kristiaan Paaps.

Other new talents include Vance 'the man' Sollee, Isidre Badenes and Amarildo Anjos, playing pivotal roles in the new setup.

Where the team lacked any noticable winnings in the past seasons, the new setup of WelchAllyn proved a combat worthy ensemble of top stars. Not only did Paaps score a victory at Beauvais - Amiens, he also managed to get a second place at Budapest Meeting Point, familiar terrain for our team as Donald Ruiter won the team's first trophy at the same spot.

Fylkir meanwhile managed to snatch away a second spot in New York at the
Brooklyn and Manhattan race, while Vance Sollee proved his training on the roads of Stachanov, earning him and his team a first spot.

Even greater news reached our ears today as Freddy de Vettige had flown over the team to Slovakia and Czech Republic, where Pepillo managed to not only earn a top 9 spot in the first stage, but also slayed the opposition by gaining a second place at the second stage and gaining victory at the time trial of Bratislava, earning the WelchAllyn team their second trophy.

Pepillo, visibly exhausted by the great achievement, added in short, 'WelchAllyn is back, we worked very hard to get into this position and I'm beyond proud of our team today!'

Only time will tell how WelchAllyn will fare in the coming months, but Freddy added 'something special's on the way'. Will be continued!
